After giving him a very good price because he was right down the street I put him on my schedule. I was right in the middle of preparing dinner so I had to get to a break before I could leave. As I was approaching his location I called him  but he informed me that he had left! After having spoken to him extensively about the scammer locksmiths and giving him a good price because of his sob story, he had taken off to go downtown. He even spoke rudely to me because I was not there exactly on time. Well we both agreed that I was not going to be the one to help him with his keyWell, today dawns and guess who is calling again. Seems he tried to work with the $29.00 locksmiths and soon realized that I represented  his best chance to get a key for his truck at a fair price so he calls back and makes all sorry etc.  and he even tried to get me to do it cheaper! Not happening; so once we got past that  I once again agreed to help him.  I was in Lithonia at the time so he was told that it would be awhile. So what happens? I’m almost to his location and I call him again and he said he had to leave!! Should have been more polite and had more patience the night before…

It is important that the council give it’s approval of the need for a locksmith license before the law goes to committee or it will die there.

Buy google reviews?? http://masterlocksmithco.com/blog/2010/05/24/buy-google-reviews/ http://masterlocksmithco.com/blog/2010/05/24/buy-google-reviews/#comments Mon, 24 May 2010 13:19:49 +0000 Administrator http://masterlocksmithco.com/blog/?p=148 Would you like to buy google reviews?? That was the phone call that Master Locksmith Company Inc. received the other day! Isn’t that great, if you can’t provide quality and honesty to your customers, don’t worry, just buy google reviews and lie!!! Master Locksmith Company has served over 28,000 customers and we have few reviews. That is because people have a tendency to complain more than compliment. If you see a locksmith site with dozens of GLOWING reviews, beware!!! The illegal locksmiths use this tactic EXSTENSIVELY!!

speaking out http://masterlocksmithco.com/blog/2010/05/21/speaking-out/ http://masterlocksmithco.com/blog/2010/05/21/speaking-out/#comments Fri, 21 May 2010 13:20:49 +0000 Administrator http://masterlocksmithco.com/blog/?p=142 I speak out about the illegal locksmiths every chance I get. Yesterday I was working on a safe at the local IRS office and I was telling the agent there about the illegal locksmiths and their cash business. You know, they make most of their victims go to the atm for cash. They are probably not reporting millions of dollars every year. I also teazed him about the Postal Inspector getting all the credit for going after the company in Florida; surely the IRS would want to get in on the action! If we all keep speaking out every chance that we get, we will bring these thieves down.

Where is Georgia’s attorney general? http://masterlocksmithco.com/blog/2010/05/01/where-is-georgias-attorney-general/ http://masterlocksmithco.com/blog/2010/05/01/where-is-georgias-attorney-general/#comments Sat, 01 May 2010 13:54:57 +0000 Administrator http://masterlocksmithco.com/blog/?p=88 Over the past few years several state’s attorney generals have sued the illegal locksmith companies and AT&T. At least in those states the citizens can rest a little easier and the honest locksmiths can continue to work and provide for their families. But I beg to ask…Why hasn’t the attorney general of Georgia done anything? Are we more interested in bass fishing here in Georgia instead of shutting down illegal crime syndicates? I like to fish but not that much.
Many Georgia residents have been victimized by these illegal locksmith companies. I am sure that at least a few have complained to the attorney general or to the governors office. We have had legislation pending for a few years now that would regulate the locksmith industry and require locksmiths to be licenced. Passing this law would be a good first step in combatting these thieves but our legislators will not act on it. Maybe they are spending too much time at the lake catching bass?
In the mean time, If you need a locksmith, feel free to call us. We live and work here. Our company and its subsidiaries have been in business for over 30 years. We have a Texas Locksmith licence(#B15724) and a Georgia Low Voltage Licence(#LVG105098) That is the closest that Georgia has to a “security” license.
Whether you need an automotive locksmith, commercial locksmith, or a residential locksmith, you can trust that our locksmith service will be the best, most detailed, and the most professional.

consequences of poor locks http://masterlocksmithco.com/blog/2010/02/18/consequences-of-poor-locks/ http://masterlocksmithco.com/blog/2010/02/18/consequences-of-poor-locks/#comments Fri, 19 Feb 2010 00:05:15 +0000 Administrator http://masterlocksmithco.com/blog/?p=76 Here is an article which describes what can happen when a home owner does not heed the advice to install proper locks. I inform homeowners all the time that the locks on their homes are inadequate and should be replaced. Some heed me warning, some, at their peril, ignore our advise and suffer the consequences.

Master locksmith confusion http://masterlocksmithco.com/blog/2010/01/14/master-locksmith-confusion/ http://masterlocksmithco.com/blog/2010/01/14/master-locksmith-confusion/#comments Fri, 15 Jan 2010 00:51:08 +0000 Administrator http://masterlocksmithco.com/blog/?p=73 “Master Locksmith and Security” IS NOT US! We are Master Locksmith Co. and Abbot Safe and Lock.
The other company is copying our name and is purposefully trying to mislead you. They are in fact one of the Israeli companies fleecing consumers. Do not confuse “Master Locksmith and Security” with the real Master Locksmith Co.

Locksmiths find hope http://masterlocksmithco.com/blog/2009/11/17/locksmiths-find-hope/ http://masterlocksmithco.com/blog/2009/11/17/locksmiths-find-hope/#comments Tue, 17 Nov 2009 16:10:50 +0000 Administrator http://masterlocksmithco.com/blog/?p=62 With the recent events in Florida, we can now allow ourselves to hope that the “locksmith landscape” will see better times in the future. As the federal authorities investigate Dependable Locksmith, we can assume that the trail of fraud and deceit will lead them to Atlanta, we hope so anyway, and that there will be many arrests here as well. It is a fact that 80-90% of the advertisements that people view when looking for a locksmith in Atlanta are in fact tied to these types of companies. Customers deserve to know that when they are calling in need of such a personal service, they will be served by a technician who has been cleared by the authorities and approved by their peers. This in turn will give them the assurance that when a locksmith sells them a high security lock, like Multi Lock, they will indeed receive that product and not a cheap substitute,(refer to the customers invoice posted previously)or that a simple lockout will not turn into a multi-hundred dollar ordeal.
When we at Abbot Safe and Lock/Master Locksmith Co. set out to install Multi Lock high security locks on a customers home or business, there is never any doubt that they will receive the product promised and that it will be installed according to the most demanding standards. Trust me, there is more to installing a lock(especially a Multi Lock high security lock)than knocking a couple of holes in a door. There a several parts and steps that can be omitted in order for the technician to save time and effort. This type of attitude does not fly around here. When a customer decides to share their hard-earned money with us, they are damned sure going to get more than they pay for.We are going to work hard for that money. We use all the parts that are included in a lockset and do not skip steps during the installation. These types of practices would deprive our customers of the full quality of the products that they have entrusted us to install for them. We want to earn and keep our customers trust.
Now is the time for Georgia citizens to renew their efforts to call attention to this crime wave. Call the office of the attorney general and demand that they take action to protect Georgia’s citizens. If you feel that you have been victimized by one of these companies call the US Postal Inspectors office at: 877 876 2455
Even if you have not been a victim, call anyway. Don’t wait until it happens to you.
Keep it real,
Mike
